I am selling a service to my customer and this service is part of contarct for three years. now the customer paid monthly for three years and if the customer decided to terminate the contract before the three years is completed. he suppose to pay a penalty fee which varies upon the number of payment he had done.
does Openerp support that?

you will need to create contract type where you can add monthly (or quarterly based on how you bill you customers) budget line for the total contract value specifying billing cycle...then set automated action for this contract in case you need the system to generate sales order automatically….also in payment type you will need to create overdue if its fixed rate and if its percentage of specific price list you can also set overdue percentage….also you will need to set termination fee in payment type.
