Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software. It includes hundreds of business apps:
CRM | e-Commerce | Accounting | Inventory | PoS | Project management | MRP | etc.
I need to know the best way to handle the following.
Our Company sells products to distributors, we want to be able to track the distributors depletion of their inventory. What would be the best method? Multi company with sales orders, and a sales order from the distributor to a virtual partner? I want to be able to do some good reporting on this as well.
You must activate the multiple-location option in Settings > Warehouses.
Just create several locations, like this:
- Resellers / Reseller 1
- Resellers / Reseller 2
You can assign the location related to a particular reseller on the customer form, in the
Sales & Purchasestab, in the field
The record depletions, you can either do:
- An internal move from location
Resellers / Reseller 1to
Resellers / Depletion
- Or create a physical inventory on location
Resellers / Reseller 1
PS: It's not related to multi-company, you should not create several companies.
