Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software. It includes hundreds of business apps:
CRM | e-Commerce | Accounting | Inventory | PoS | Project management | MRP | etc.
Is it possible to disable a product variant from sales/purchase without deleting it? In the attached image, you will see a product available in various sizes, and two colors. In white, all sizes are available, including custom, however in red, the custom size IS NOT available.
WELL...I tried to attached an image, but don't have enought KARMA yet!!!
Above shows desired result, but only working via variant DELETE, not DE-ACTIVATE as desired.
The only way I was able to accomplish this, was to DELETE the Red-Custom variant. Opening the Red-Custom variant, and editing it so it was not available for sale/purchase and/or not published on the website resulted in that change being applied to the product.template(master product), not just the product.product(variant product).
I missed the Active button, which is on the Product Variant edit window.
- Open product variant that you don't want available for sale/purchase
- Don't un-check the Can be Sold/Can be Purchased boxes under the main info
- Instead, on the Information sub-tab, remove the check from Active
- Product is not deleted, but disapears from lists, and online store.
