When a new item is created in the Sales Order, the UoM 'Unit(s)' is displayed by default. If I select a product with a different UoM category (for example 'm') the UoM in the item line is changed according to the product data but if I select a product with a UoM in the same category as the 'Unit(s)', the UoM from the product is not selected.

I could not find any bug report on this, is it working as designed? Is there a way to have always the basic UoM from the product selected automatically?
