Hi

My problem is that i have to migrate data from sage to openerp using Talend Open Studio.

For example i don't know how to transfer data from one table to another especially they don't have the same number of columns, one more thing is how to automatize and synchronize between th two tables?

Best Regards

Mouad

GOOD QUESTION !

For such operations, you have to deal with more than one table at a time.

ON BOTH SIDES (SAGE and OpenERP)

1_ You have to identify the DATA you need to migrate

2_ You have to identify, in which tables, and which columns, those DATA are recorded.

most often, if not always, the data in one table had to be spread on more than one table.

3_ How to deal with Foreign Keys and constraints ?

This is a big job. The kind of job that each computer scientist must do at least one time in his life.

Excuse me, I completely forgot to mention this link: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~openerp-sage50/openerp-sage-50/6.1/files . Export from OpenERP to Sage, this can help in how to reverse this operation from sage to OpenERP (see the docs folder). there is also a MP for V7.0 http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~savoirfairelinux-openerp/openerp-sage-50/7.0-exportsage50/files
