Creating webhooks for odoo-on-saas ?

For integration with other systems it would be beneficial if a webhook can be built on odoo-on-saas as a server action. I see that in v8RC1 there is a server action assigned to a website form (Website Partner Post and Thanks Demo) - is it possible to use a server action like this to write a webhook handler that can be used on odoo-on-saas.

If not then the options for intergrating other online systems with odoo-on-saas seem very limited.

Unfortunately not - this just allows information to be sent out of odoo - I am looking for the inverse - a way of delivering information to odoo-on-saas without having to use the full api (which is surely an invitation for hackers).

Why do you feel using the API provided would be an invitation to hackers? If you make sure the API (https://www.odoo.com/documentation/8.0/api_integration.html) can be called only when the user is logged on to ODOO it shouldn't be an issue as far as I can tell see also http://stackoverflow.com/questions/31312901/rest-api-an-invitation-to-hackers-for-injection I do agree that webhooks would make things easier for non-programmers though.
