Just starting with OPenERP 7.0 - so maybe just about to ask some daft questions...

How can I change the first screen after logon (it always goes to the inbox) have tried using Home Action & Menu Action on the user - but no success

I have had similar troubles. Setting access rights on the users will define what their menu shows but what they see on login is always Inbox no matter how I set Home & Menu Action. There was a bug for this in Launchpad which I was following but it seems to have been deleted.

Is that because we don't have home icon anymore on v7 ?

You get taken to the first side menu of the first top menu.

Move the Messaging Menu (via changing the sequence/priority field) and you will get taken somewhere else.

Thanks!!!! I was on the verge of figuring this out myself now that I'm defining the menus for the addon I'm building. Works like a charm!
