Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software. It includes hundreds of business apps:
CRM | e-Commerce | Accounting | Inventory | PoS | Project management | MRP | etc.
Hi, I wanted to know if its possible to modify the existing Odoo modules and change the labels, headings, field names, etc. For example, I want to take the sales module and just change the headings of the menus and implement the same functionality of sales module as another module?
It's not that easy. Sure, you can copy a folder, change a few strings but... what about all the classes? You will have to go through every class and change it's name and declaration, etc, so that it will follow your module's name.
I think that, what you really want is to have different calls to the sale module, from different menus. Is that it? If that is the case, you just create a new module that will define menus and call the actions in the sale module. That, basically, dealing with the .xml files.
