Can I use HTML/CSS mockup entirely custom in Odoo Website?

I am a HTML/CSS developer. I was contacted by one of Odoo partners to develop their own website. They asked me to use Odoo platform to build it.

Since I do not use the platform, I suggested to develop the HTML/CSS by myself from scratch, and then import the code in Odoo. But neither me or them know if this is possible.

Can you clarify me this question?

Thank a bunch!

Hi Guille,

You can add as much HTML/CSS as you wish but the real question is, would you really need so much? The Odoo website uses Bootstrap, which has a LOT of capabilities with a lot of default HTML/CSS implementations. There are plenty of tutorials and examples on the internet so I don't think you would need to add a lot of custom code.
I'd suggest you to read through some Bootstrap tutorials and the Odoo tutorial for creating Odoo theme's (as linked by Ermin).
You can however add any HTML / CSS / JS in a custom module, should you need any custom things.

As a first step before looking at the code of real life themes I would consult the following tutorial: https://www.odoo.com/documentation/9.0/howtos/themes.html

@ErminTrevisan @Yenthe thank you both, you were very helpful. I decided to buy some template already built. Do you know any site to buy them? Beside the official template shop from Odoo.

Thanks again!

Thank you for accepting my answer! Well, most of the theme's are on the official Odoo store (if not all). I do know 73lines makes great themes and that you can contact them here: https://www.73lines.com/page/odoo-theme-design

When choosing a theme as a base for a customized theme, you should check the following: 1. Type of navigation 2. Number and kind of Building Blocks (the more the better) 3. Customizing possibilities (color presets, fonts, layout) Based on these criteria you should choose the most appropriate theme in order to save efforts. According to my experience (we are a 50 Themes Pack Supporter and I therefore have access to all Odoo themes), Odoo itself offers the most building blocks. At 73lines (and also others in the App store) you could also buy extra building blocks one by one.
