If you use Odoo.sh and GIT as your code repository, the Odoo.sh platform will upgrade the database and rebuild it every time you push a change.  This won't save you time, but it will be automatic.

Hi,

Currently, it is not possible. Any change in xml file requires an update so that the modifications take place in the view.
If your module takes  a lot of time to update, then i suggest to make changes via interface ( Activate developer Mode ) and when it is indeed what you're looking for, you can then add them to your file.
to do so, activate the developer mode and then go to your view. Click on the icon, a bug, then select what option you want to edit. In this example, i'm in a list view and when i click on the icon, i get the possibility to edit my list view, search view...etc

for more details on how to activate the develoepr mode per Odoo version, please visit : https://odoo-development.readthedocs.io/en/latest/odoo/usage/debug-mode.html

Hope this helps you.

Regards.
