Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software. It includes hundreds of business apps:
CRM | e-Commerce | Accounting | Inventory | PoS | Project management | MRP | etc.
If there is a need to implement access to OpenERP to clients that has a bandwith connection of 512 kbps or lower (say 256 kbps), are there any tools to ease the user experience in terms of responsiveness? Would reverse procy with caching capability serve any purpose? If so, what would be the best to implement for OpenERP?
We had had some test with OpenERP in such environment and found out that the response time is quite untollerable. To get into the purchase order creation form took 10 second from login. To save a purchase order, 19 seconds. I've checked that even a simple purchase order can amounts to 3 MB worth of webpage (content files included) which is quite large for 512 kbps connection. Also, at that connection, a lot of No JSON object could be decoded pops-up (which I attribute to connection timeout for some of the ajax requests).
