Accounting with Odoo: is there a complete and clear written documentation?

Any link to such a documentation source would be helpful; be it from Odoo or from one of the numerous Odoo partners.

I understand that Odoo strategy is to make accounting as simple as possible and even that no one user has to be bothered by such a trivial domain.

But accounting is not as trivial as one says. Accounting principles and standards stil exist and they require full attention.

After having spent many hours on my company's accounts and entries made with Odoo, I feel a strong need to read an official documentation explaining how the accounting experts at Odoo have designed the accounting module .

I did whatever was possible to search for such a documentation; without success so far. I even do not receive any more emails from the accounting expert team which was formed on Launchpad.

But I may have missed the right place:)

Thanks Ray for these links; I will read carefully. So far I read that Deferral method is used to describe transfer of accounting balances from one period to another one (closing treatment); this is not - in my opinion - the standard and generally accepted wording for such carry forward. Deferral Method should be restricted to the allocation of revenues or expenses over periods. Which is a completely different issue.
