As I believe the Odoo calendar functionality was based around Caldav originally, is there a simple way to show the events and tasks stored in Odoo in Thunderbird ? It really needs to work both ways too ie the entries are all stored in the Odoo calendar but accessed from Thunderbird as a client.
Has anyone tried this recently?

You could write a connector that syncs from Odoo to Thunderbird, the other way around, or in both ways. Then you'd have the items accessible inside your Thunderbird.

You could, but I'm not a coder :-( more an integrator. I just wondered what the urls would be if the Caldav component is still used?
I'd prefer if we could get everyone to use the odoo Calendar, but its a reasonable request that I hoped someone would have already encountered.
