I know this question has been asked many times but there has never been (as far as I can see) a satisfactory answer given.  Some basic steps to setup the initial connection and how to pull data from the models would be much appreciated.

Please note, this question is not about the Google Drive app.  It's about this one:

same need for clear documentation or answer from Odoo; I will post a ticket for the odoo support.

Hi folks,

I know the topic is old, but it's still hard to use Google Sheets on v12 and v13. And if you still are able to do it right, you will be limited at 30 seconds of runtime and small datasets.

You can also use an addon o2sheet from Google Store - you can check it out from here https://gsuite.google.com/marketplace/app/odoo_to_sheet/973559089023

Disclaimer : I'm the author of this addon, but still I really think that it can help some people reading this topic

Hi Tara. I'm interested in this addon and have installed the trial but I can't see any information about how to make database queries. Am I missing something? Can you share an example sheet if there isn't documentation yet?

Have you seen the Documentation / Tutorial tab?

I confirm that all the necessary steps are included inside the google sheet when it is created.

A menu called Odoo is available onto the spreadsheet: this where you can give access to your database data for the speadsheet (which is saved outside Odoo (if I am correct). see below.

Login: your login name used to access your db

Password: Password you use to access Odoo

Database URL: https://xxx as per your installation

Database name: "your db name"

Do not load large sets of data to make sure they are accurately read by the google spreadsheet. If necessary split your data in several sub-sets or make sure you have filtered as necessary inside odoo before your selected the data to export.

Hi Bill Ennals,

There is no any documentation available about google spreadsheet, if you want to learn and get aware about it, then you just visit this link and install module and do trial and run then you can understand.
