Just want to buy 1 but get 24 on hand but don't want to change the item defaults but willing to use uom to get this done just don't change subtotal. Price is 8.75 for 1 24 pack. I'm getting 210 or sometimes over 5,000 in subtotal. Using odoo community 13

Go to settings > sales > Activate unit of measure.
You can define the unit of measure or can use the default unit of measures.
Consider kg and g as unit of measure of weight for a product.
Go to product form:
Add unit of measure as g
Purchase unit of measure as kg
Now if you purchase one kg of this product. Your onhand quantity will be updated as 1000g.
System will calculate the price based on the Unit of measure selected.
