Hi Guys! I have a question about creating a purchase order. So you can perform "PO" on Request for Quotation Tab by clicking "Confirm Order". However, When I'm performing Purchase Order in the Purchase Order Tab, I keep getting the " Request for Quotation". Isn't "Purchase Order" tab meant to help you create Purchase Order only without clicking the "Confirm Order" button? I can perform Purchase Order in Request for Quotation just as fine. What is the point for having the Purchase Order tab? A waste of space? Thanks a ton guys

Hi,
Hope the tab you have referred is the menu. In purchase we have two separate menu, ie, Request for quotation and Purchase order, both are directing you to the same model purchase.order.
As you ask what is the use case of the menu, in the purchase order menu you will get only records in confirmed state. Where as in Request for quotation you will see non confirmed records.
If there is no two menus for the end user who needs to see only purchase order, he has to apply filter manually and has to get the confirmed records from all.
To organize the records in a better way the two menus are created. If you create a record from the Purchase Order menu and if you didn't click the confirm button, if you again click the Purchase order menu, you will not see the record there, it will be under the Request for Quotation menu.
Hope you get a fair idea
Thanks
