I am just setting up my inventory (web platform). Products are all entered.  I decided to do an inventory adjustment for product X of +3 and then do a purchase of 10 (from purchasing module). When I look at inventory--Inventory Control --> Products.  that product shows 0 on hand but when I click on the button it clearly shows the 13 in stock

When I (sales module) went to put an order against it it also said I had 0 on hand.
