So I'm trying to understand the input and output accounts for the product category cards.
For the Accounts Properties it makes sense that:
Income Account: Sales.Subcategory so it shows up in P&L as Income
Expense Account:Inventory.Subcategory, because I guess this is what connects it to COGS in the P&L?
For the Account Stock Properties it makes sense that:
Stock Input: Inventory.Subcategory
Stock Output: COGS
Inventory Valuation: Inventory.Subcategory.
Now I just ran into an issue. We bought this new product and created its subcategory under a parent called Lineas Complementarias > Loctite. But a specific account for loctite was not created, only the Product Category. So it was configured like this:
Income Account: Sales.ParentCategory
Expense Account: Inventory.ParentCategory
Stock Input: Inventory.ParentCategory
Stock Output: COGS
Stock Valuation: Inventory.ParentCategory
What will be different in my reports about those subcats that have both (Product Subcat and an Account Subcat) and those like this one Loctite which only has a Product Subcat but is tied to its Parent Accounting Subcat?
