Has anyone managed to get the POS Customer Display module working with Odoo 9?

I tried to put the unzipped folder into
C:\Program Files (x86)\Odoo 9.0-20160718\server\openerp\addons\
but it gets ignored.
Or are there any alternatives for Odoo 9 to have a customer display for the POS?
