I am trying to findout what is the uses of information under "Partner Assignment" on customer/vendor data.
AllI see is infoa about "Geolocation" but not sure where it is used and how.

This comes from the "base_geolocalize" module that provides a base for getting lat-long of the customer/vendor based on their address.
You can extend this module to develop the map feature.
