How I can sell or purchase products which I have not in my catalogue? I don't want to create them to not mess up my product catalogue with products I likely never use again.

I tried to set up a dummy article I can load on a sales or purchase order and then just change the description. But the problem with this is, when I had several lines with dummy articles, it collects all into one single article on the delivery or purchase order.

Hello,

we also have this problem. We createt products, with an attribute and a individual discription. That means, it creates an individual productvariant all the time. But prices and costs are always recalculated based on the product itself. Which means that updating an order, prices and costs updating also. Reporting with this issue is impossible.

Hi Rays
Thank you for your answer. That works, as long as you directly add the product to the RFQ. In our case we already have some one time products we need to add to the offer for the customer. That means, the OTP (One Time Product) should go to the Replenishment list, once the sales offer is confirmed. Finaly the warenhouse employee sets a supplier, which forwards the product to a RFQ.

There are two problems why it does not work in standard Odoo.
- consumable can not be set onto replinishment list

- (custom) sales description is not taken over into Replenishment list,  RFQ or delivery notes.

So I'm still wondering if there is a practical workaround in Odoo or not. Traditionally, we just had an Excel list of things to reorder. I would like to replace that list with the Odoo Replinishment list.

This is what Consumables are for.

Create generic products and add them to your Purchase Order so you can receive them:

The Inventory Receipt looks like this:

Consumable products are excluded from your Inventory valuation - they have no value and should never be used for products you plan to sell or use in to make other products (they will contribute nothing to cost of goods).
