I try to build website with odoo 13 on google cloud hosting. Everything works fine but when i try to setup outgoing mail server it replay the following message -

Connection Test Failed! I allow "less secure app" on my Gmail account.

I try both 465 and 587 port. But every time I got the same message.


Please help me to solve the issue.

did you receive emaif from Google saying someone trying to login to your email?

Yes I receive email frog google.

that should give you an indication on how to solve the issue. The problem is not with Odoo, it's about authentication within Google.

you probably need to redo the 'allow less secure apps'. Google switches it off if it's not used.

if all that doesn't work, and you keep getting messages you need to verify your account etc., try this page: https://www.google.com/accounts/DisplayUnlockCaptcha

Please go to Manage your Google Account and select Security



And turn on 2-Step Verification, after that, you will get the option for App passwords


Now create an App password and use that instead of the password in the odoo email configuration settings.

I did allow less secure apps on \https://myaccount.google.com/lesssecureapps?pli=1 but nothing change.
