Hello to all,

I’m looking for an ERP system for a beverage distribution company and Odoo seems to be a good choice.

The specifics of this company are the following:

  • A fleet of machines (coffee machines, ice cube machines, etc.), owned by the company, and deployed at customer facilities: fleet management is required.

  • The company maintains these machines so we need some kind of support ticket system, and the associated costs with the maintenance per machine.

  • Spare parts management and stock for these machines.

  • Customers are delivered on a regular basis, they are invoiced and they pay when delivered (mobile invoicing)

  • Route planning for the delivery trucks

Does anyone have any experience and/or some feedback to share regarding Odoo in a similar environment? Does Odoo natively include solutions for the specific requirements of this company? Any recommendations for third party apps?

Hi François,

Looks interesting. Following applications can help you:

  1. Maintenance: https://www.odoo.com/page/tpm-maintenance-software

  2. Repair management: https://www.odoo.com/apps/modules/online/mrp_repair/

  3. As well as the common sales, invoicing, purchase and stock applications.

As for the routes planning, you might want to manage it outside of Odoo by simply exporting to excel a list of all delivery orders of your customers (with addresses) and feeding it to specialized software that can compute critical path/route planning. Else, you would need to customize Odoo for that.
