You are not the only one, see https://github.com/odoo/odoo/issues/10389 and https://www.odoo.com/forum/help-1/question/hot-pos-no-more-tracking-serial-number-95436 .
The way to go is to ask AcespriteTech to port the moduel to 9.0 or to port it yourself and you will make a lot friends.

Good news. I contacted them and asked about this being available for Odoo 9 and they told me that 1. Trying to recreate it would be over my head since I am new to odoo but 2. They have already developed it for odoo 9 and will be releasing it in the next couple of days to the public
