doo 13 is a great software and we can use it for our manufacturing process but one thing is very frustrating and seems to be more like but. When creating MO from BOM , Odoo will trigger and generate purchase order (PO) based on what is needed for manufacturing. The PO does not calculate the available quantities in the inventory and takes the whole quantity from the MO/BOM. Example:

BOM A:

Item A -25 qty.

Item B - 13 qty.

Inventory:

Item A - 10 qty.
Item B - 5 qty.

PO:
Item A - 25 qty. (must be 15)
Item B - 13 qty.    (must be 8)

Does anyone know how to solve this or configure Odoo.
Thanks in advance!

"locations and routes" was the the point that I missed. Now everything works. Thank you. You can convert this comment to answer and mark the question as Solved

Best Answer

Check locations and routes (that the manufacturing order can pick from the stock)

Do you use Make To Order? In that case existing stock will aftennot be taken into account.

Variants involved?

This doesn't solve the issue and if you read  the last answer/comment you'll see the same problem as the described here. So I don't understand how you can set the status to Resolved?!?
