Hi All,


new at odoo here just wondering how can we set up non stock item i.e. services as a product? i try googling and couldnt find the answer. 

can we also map the revenue to certain GL account?

The first step to use the inventory application is to create products in your database via the menu Master Data ‣ Products. Click the Create button and enter the name of your product.



A product is the item offered for sale and can be in physical or in virtual form. And the product type determines how the product will be managed in stock management. In Odoo, the product is used to define as a raw material, a stockable product, a consumable or a service.
So to manage your product you should know about the product and how to configure the product and if the product is not properly configured then it will create a problem and Odoo flow break down.

In Odoo three distinct product types are:
1. Stockable Product
2. Consumable Product
3. Service Product

You can set any Product Type.

thanks for explaining this! i definitely didnt look at that field. i guess it's a habit from 2 previous system that non-stock item is a tick box.
