* Menus may be moved to a different location
* User may not have access to the group linked with menu
* Menu may be deleted from the db

Enable debug mode and navigate to settings -> technical -> user interface -> views and search for the menu sales and share the image you see there.

Also consider upgrading module with technical name: sale

Please check the below cases

1) Check you have administration access for sales fromsettings -> user & companies -> users -> Select the user -> Check the user have administration access for sales

2) Check the menu items of sales do not have unwanted groups Settings -> Technical -> User interface -> Menu items -> search for sale

3) Upgrade the sales moduleApps -> search for sales -> upgrade

If you uninstall the Sales app, you will lose all your Sales Order-related data.

Try to upgrade Sales app that might help.

There are some reasons why the menu is not visible, either some security groups have been added, or menu is deleted.

It might be possible that you deleted the "sales" menu by  mistake. To check this you can navigate to the settings >> Technical >> Menuitems. Here you can search for the sales menu. 

If you deleted this menu then instead of uninstalling sales module you just need to update the sales module for that turn on developer mode, go to apps search "sale" keyword in the search bar of apps. Check modules technical name. There will be two module 1. sale_management and 2. sale. Update the module whose technical name is "sale". Once the module is upgraded you will have your menu back.
