I would like to know how to set up and do this. ACME is a company which has two warehouses. The first warehouse is the showroom (SH1) where Items are displayed to customers in the city center and then a second warehouse (WH2) where stock is stored in the outskirts of the city around 1 hour from SH1. ACME is low on stock and wants to request manually to WH1 for item A. How can ACME create a Transfer where once validated would create a pick and ship from WH1 and a receive in SH1. Why would ACME want to do this? is so managers can track and make sure stock was sent and the same amounts were received. by steps would be something like this: SH1 Creates a request for items. This request creates a Pick in WH1 from a stock location like WH1/STOCK/AA1 After the picking, the stock is moved to output Then from output to transit, then transit to receiving. Again, how could ACME set up rules, routes, and operations to this? |

Hi, please check following video that will provide you same functionality.

The video below addresses a couple of use cases and details the steps to achieve them. It might help in applying and creating the routes (push/pull, triggers etc) specific to your business needs.

The transfer between warehouses can be achieved using push or pull rules and it largely depends on how you would be triggering these transfers.
1. You would need to unarchive/ create 'Inter-warehouse Transit' location to track shipment.
2.You would need to create a new 'route' (Inventory>Configuration>Routes) with these rules (or as per your process)
From the information provided in your post, it seems you want to initiate the transfer from SH1 and would want to use pull rule,
Pull from Interwarehouse Transfer to SH1/ Stock ( SH1 Receipt Operation)
Pull from WH2/Output to Interwarehouse Transfer ( WH2 Delivery Orders)
Pull from WH2/Stock to WH2/ Output (WH2 Pick Operation)
This is only the concept, you would need to apply specific to your business process.
