How to sell fixed assets in Odoo 17

Question

Hi,

I'd like to book a sales of a fixed assets in Odoo but the explanation in the documentation doesn't make sense.

According to the documentation, when displaying an asset I should have a button "sell or dispose". However, I don't have this button as it seems that the documentation is based on Odoo 16. Do you know how should I manage this in Odoo 17?

Hi,
To sell an asset or dispose of it implies that it must be removed from the Balance Sheet.1. Go to Accounting -> Accounting -> AssetsSelect the asset you want to sell ,
2. Click Modify depretiotion

We have to dispose, sell, re-evaluate, and pause options.
3. select sell -> Create new invoice or select existing invoice to merge-> sell
4. Now, we can post invoice

5. By clicking the smart button 'assets', we can view the asset linked to this invoice6. So, the asset state is 'closed'.
