I created my server incoming and outgoing settings and successfully tested the connection.  I've clicked on the user, Action, Portal Access Management, Extra Rights, clicked on Portal checkbox and saved and the customer received his pwd message and logged in so I know everything is working fine. 

I wish to temporarily deactivate my incoming and outgoing mail server info because last time we tried back in openerp, it sent a bunch of messages to a bunch of customers and it was quite overwhelming.  

While we get things set up I would like to deactivate the settings, how do I do that?

Hi Marcio, you can actually archive your Incoming & Outgoing mail servers directly from the list view, just tick the record, and then click Action -> Archive
If you wish to enable it again, same way, just choose Action -> Unarchive

For version that lower than V11, I think you need to show the active field first in the form view, then you can set active/inactive for the settings
