Hello,
"register the payment" button for invoices can be validated by "Billing group" is there a way to limit this button to the accountant or advisor groups?

Have you seen https://www.odoo.com/forum/help-1/question/how-to-make-button-available-only-for-specific-group-of-users-131117 ?
You might have to create your own group for that button and add more attributes to the existing button on replace d button with yours not forgetting the group you created.
