How to add simple birthday field?

Hey guys I'm new with Odoo, and I really confuse why no has options to add fields easily into Contact. Maybe I lost some point?

you can add the below field instead of the field mentioned in the above blog,

If you are using Odoo Enterprise and have Odoo Studio installed, you can simply drag and drop the date field.
