The new implementation of the field only shows an item in the drop-down list as "Start Typing". I l literally have to start typing anything before the "Create" and "Create and Edit" items in the drop-down list appears.
EDIT: My concern is that this step is useless when a custom many2one field of 'ir.attachment' is added to the view. Anything that I type will be replaced with the file name that will be attached/uploaded and making this step useless in my case. If no_create and no_create_and_edit option is available, is there any option like no_start_typing available?

Apparently, this is a new implementation in Odoo 14 where you have to type before you can Create or Create and Edit. This issue was raised in GitHub.

Have you seen how you can manage attachments via a Smart Button and have the default UPLOAD YOUR FILE button after they click CREATE to make a new attachment?

Thank you, Ray! Yes, I am aware and I also implemented this in other customization but in the link attached below is what I meant to ask. This issue is already raised in github. Apparently, there are other people who are also annoyed by the new feature where you have to type first before you can Create or Create & Edit a Many2one record.
