How can I show the variant prices of a product in the website shop (all products shown under the "shop" link) on the ecommerce website? The price has been set by a price list and NOT the product template.

I can only make it show the price set by the product template (default 1 USD).

Here is the product template price

Here are two variants created

Here are the prices set of the two variants using price list

Here is the price of the product on the product list "all products under shop" which is totally wrong! The price here is the product template price.

When clicking the product, you enter the product detail page. The prices here is correct!

I would appreciate it if someone could help me out here.
I really need this working.

I think this is a bug. Maybe someone can confirm it.

Because if i remove all variants, then the product price under the product grid (products under "shop") shows the price that is set by the price list and NOT the product template price. Exactly how i want it.

If there is any variant created, then the prices on the product grid will be the product template price.

Now i need to find a workaround if this is a bug. I guess i have to create a product for each variant (and hide these from the product grid) and link it from the main product page.

Yes I also thought that was the case that it was intentional. But that would make it even worse if that’s the case. Let me show you why:

Here is my product and the variants with different pricing for different price lists:

Let's take the phone 128gb as an example. It's 12500 kr or 1250 euro with VAT.

I can make it show correctly in Price list 1 in SEK. Here is the price in the product grid with VAT.

Here is the price in the product page, 12 500 kr. Same as product grid, all is Correct.

But check out what happens when i change price list to Price list 2 EUR in the product grid. It shows the currency conversion price of 1101.76 Euro.

And here is the Product page which shows the price i want to sell it at of 1250 Euro including VAT:

And check out the extra price for the next variant. It’s written in currency SEK, kr.

The product grid uses currency conversion rate, not something i want to show.

I have no clue how to solve this.

Hi,

Just change the Sales Price on the Product page, which is responsible for the price show in website [Shop page]

Before:

in website,

After change the Sales Price to $100:

in   product detail page:

Check and Clarify your doubts.

Hello,

This is not an Odoo bug. You have set the product variant to price, but on the shop page, the product template is displayed. Product templates and product variants are handled separately.

In the shop page's grid view, it shows the product template, which considers the template's sale price. However, when you go inside the product page, you can select a variant, and the price will automatically change according to the selected variant + Price list.

If you want the shop page to display the variant and its price by default, you'll need to customize the shop page so that the product variant appears first, along with its corresponding price.

We do experience the same behaviour. The web grid always shows the product template price. Clicking on the product in the webshop and selecting product variants will show correct pricelist prices.

I have opened a support ticket and i got this answer:

OFFICIAL ODOO SUPPORT ANSWER:

"I would like to inform you that the grid view of the website shows the
price set on the base product and after the selection of the variant the
price will be updated based on the price list. So if you have set the
price on the base product to 1 Euro it will be displayed as 1 Euro on
the website before any variant is being selected."
I understand your issue here but unfortunately, I will not be able to
help you further with this as it is the standard behavior of Odoo that
it will display the price that is set on the product form of the base
product.

In other words: No pricelist price will ever appear in the shop grid view. This makes odoo useless for B2B eCommerce. We do have ~500 B2B clients, each having separate pricelists. Since we can only set one price in the product template/base ~499 clients will see a wrong price. Thats PITA. We will have to try to adapt the code ourselves..

We were going to start using Odoo last year but this bug killed it. I still haven't hopped on. I tried odoo 17.4 online last week to see if there was any fix but it's still the same. I did open a ticket but they said it was normal behavior which i find is extremely illogical. The way the price is shown doesn't make sense to me.

There is a github ticket for this but they won't acknowledge it.

We have to hop on an ERP very soon but might have to look elsewhere.

Please update me on this ticket.

I see the response from support now. I got the same previously. Unbelievable that you cannot choose what price to show on the product grid. Have you solved it somehow?

I encountered the same problem.

I set up a fixed-price price list for 200 products/product variations. After entering it, I found that it could not be displayed on the store page.

In addition, in the price list, I only have one selectable price list, but there will be two selectable price lists in the web page options, one of which will use the sales price in the product attributes. How to remove this price list?

Maybe removing this one will show the correct price.

Can you show me pictures of what you mean with the selectable price lists?
Maybe I can figure it out.

I don't have permission to post pictures yet.

Hi JH001,

Even if you have Variants, the all product grid list on the shopping site seems to only show only the base product price (based on product.template).

If you apply a filter (e.g on demo.odoo.com select "Aluminum") the customizable desk is show with a base price of $750 (in the USA) .  Only when you click on it, the price changes to the correct $800.40

Maybe this is worthwhile pointing out in a ticket to the Odoo team.  Most shoppers would expect a price range for all filtered variants if multiple options, or a single correct variant price if it is just a single product option based on the filters.

Thanks.

What i would like to know if this is intentional.
Because if this is intentional, then i cannot really use Odoo.
I'm going to be totally stunned if this is intentional.

I guess i need to open a ticket.
