There is no more opening journal

The opening journal already disappeared in version 9.0 due to a major rework of the accounting which was extensively discussed all over the community. You should read the docs in order to understand the new philosophy of accounting in Odoo.

But accountancy is not a philosophy, it's laws, methods and normes.
The example of the non management is a very serious problem as it is into legal in France for example. In France we must have an opening journal and a closing journal. The result of the exercice can't be affect at the end of the exercice but at the meeting with shares holders .
And what if the company needs to change is closing date? How is it managed in Odoo?
