Hello everyone. 

My Odoo database is having an issue with sending emails. 

There was an Outgoing Mail Server on the system which was not configured properly. For months, we were not able to send any email from the system. All emails sent were found in the 'Delivery Failed' loop.

So now I went ahead and deleted the Outgoing Mail Server to be able to use the default Odoo one.


Now, my emails are shown as sent in the chatter. They also do not appear in the Emails list as 'Delivery Failed'.

However, none of the recipients have received the emails. We checked Junk and Spam both but they were nowhere to be found.


My question is, if the delivery is not failing but the recipient is not receiving the email, where is the email gone? And how do I fix this issue?

Sorry for the inconvinience
for now i am able to get the issue recreate and not find the solution but yes I can help you at least meet the email sending configuration so you can start your work and start sending mail to your customers

Are you doing the email configurations with custom/private email server or the gmail one ?

checkout this configuration and when you trying to configure the email sending you can have the password via google app passwords where you can configure the email app password once for odoo as most gmails consists 2 step verification which cost us email configuration issue.

and after using that you'll be getting the emails in the emails page where it is having outgoing state you can do 2 things create one custom app kind thing which selects the gmail server if any configure by putting some domain and install that in odoo online via odoo apps or you can do this too selecting the email server you have configure and then send the email.

There was an outgoing mail server initially which was not configured well. I deleted that one. Now it is supposedly using the Odoo default one.

what do you mean by odoo's default one can you elaborate it as I am not aware of any default one email server by odoo, if you're able to then can you share me photos if not then get me the process typed so I can get the default one and we can have the thing configured and also solved your problem.
