Has anyone ever been able to actually get those video calls working?

I mean, every try failed: I can't hear the other guy; the other guy can't hear me, we both get an error icon showing (yellow triangle with exclamation mark). Chat works great.

It is VERY frustrating that we keep being allured with these nice features and, then, you need a magician to get them working. And I am using odoo.sh !!! VoIP was also another thing that never worked.

Note: yes, I have tried to change the settings for sound input (they do keep being reset, though)

Except for Odoo Experience, I think I never shaw these features working with real cases. Any demonstrative videos will only show demo data and not actual real life situations. So... does this bloody thing work or not? And, if yes, how the hell do we get it to work? (in odoo.sh!)

I'm also having trouble using EE16 hosted onsite where the video/audio calls only work sometimes. More often than not, people are getting a yellow triangle on their call "avatar" and people just can't hear them. I also did a conference call where I could hear everyone, but they couldn't hear each other. Very strange, and kind of annoying it doesn't give information besides the triangle. Any error message would be preferred to it just not working with no reason given besides the triangle.

Chad E,

This was the reply I got from Odoo:

Voice and video calls done through the Discuss App are managed on a Peer to Peer (P2P) connection rather than client-server connection like the chat box. With that, there is a possibility that P2P connections are blocked on your/their network for security reasons, hence why neither you or other users can utilize video or voice functions.

To work around this, you can configure a Twilio ICE server and implement the credentials onto your database. To do this, perform the following:

How to configure ICE servers with Twilio:
1. Create an account at https://www.twilio.com/ to use for video calls.
See https://nimb.ws/wjqBPh

2. In overview (click on Develop), check API credentials:
ACCOUNT SID
AUTH TOKEN
Copy them to Odoo: In general settings > Discuss section next to "Use Twilio ICE servers"
See https://nimb.ws/a53EiS

3. Potentially custom ICE servers list
You can also define your own list of ICE servers
See https://nimb.ws/TNopOm

For reference, consult this documentation: https://www.odoo.com/documentation/16.0/applications/productivity/discuss/advanced/ice_servers.html

For what they charge, I really expect a much better "out-of-the-box" experience

I did a demo call between my laptop and my phone, and the video didn't work.

and the calender invite didn't have a link in it for the customer to connect with ..

THANK YOU!!!
