Hello, I have a trial instance of Odoo Online and I have noticed that when a product goes out of stock, a link appears that says "get notified when back in stock". I'm happy to see this feature avaliable out of the box, however many of my products are unique and this option makes no sense because the product will never be back in stock. I don't want customers to sign up for something that is a black hole.

I went through all the settings and I couldn't find an option to configure or disable this feature. I also couldn't find anything in the documentation.

Easiest path forward: Turn it off per product, or even turn it off altogether - but how?

Alternative option: Convert it into something like "Notify me when a similar product is available" - now this is appealing, because if I make a new product like this one I have a targeted interest list. Plus I could monitor the signups for sold out products to inform decisions about what to make next. I assume I can find and change the string in the localizations file. But where are the email queues stored for each product? How can I access them? What is the mechanism anyway that will trigger the emails whenever the stock is replenished? Do I have any visibility or control over when those emails go out? Where is the email template for that message besides? And what if I make a mistake and mark a replenishable product as back in stock, realize my mistake and go set it back to zero, how can I message the customers about this - is the email list just gone after the notification goes out? Is there any report or something about what was sent? The questions go on.

Any advice on this? I'm anxious about this feature being enabled even for replenishable products if I don't know how to preview or control the email content.

Thanks,

Ratha
