Hi all.

I'm currently using Odoo Enterprise v14, and I wish to deny access to some Apps in Odoo that comes with default rules to acces to them as Contacts, Planning, Time Off, Maintance, etc.

At the moment I have thought of making an XML to create access group for App with "No access " for the lowest level, and changing through this (I believe you can edit current access rules this way) the inheritance for 2nd level to inherit this group instead of "User types / Internal User".

Is this possible? Is there any easier way to achieve this?.

Hope to get answer to this.

Thanks.

HI,

As you said it can be customized and make it possible, but if you need to hide some menus for particular users, check out this free app in app store, which helps you to hide the menus for users.

Module:  https://apps.odoo.com/apps/modules/14.0/hide_menu_user/

Thanks

Hello Mehjabin, thanks for your answer.

At the moment we are using the exact same app to hide menu buttons from user, but it doesn't prevent them to access or interact with them, and since Odoo have this interconnection in between their apps, sometimes we don't need them to check a lot of things that by default Odoo has given access to.

We are checking if we can do it customizable, but would hope if there is a better solution, like inherit highest group and deny acceses, or any other app that could achieve that.

Thanks
