Hello,
In case you need financial planing for your business activities, you can use standard accounting module:
- Plan your incomes with Customers Bills
- Plan you outcomes with Vendor Bills
(both possible to plan for future periods)
For equities and assets planning just use Chart of Accounts.
For measuring some business streams you also can use analytical accounts
For Budgeting - Budgets.
So you already have all features regular excel templates offer to you.

I intend to create a new activity. I would like to construct the financial part of a Business Plan in first place to convince investors ans in a second time use it as a budget and compare the forecast ans actual figures
All the Business Plan financial app are made with Excel, this is flexible to some extent but difficult to share with associates (risk of many versions).
I could send you an existing excel model.

If you're talking about managing the business plan creation process (documents, tasks, people, time spent, communication...) then yes you should use a Project Management software and I suggest you use Odoo Project.
If it's just about having everybody on the same version of a spreadsheet, then Google Sheet should do the job.

Nice to see that French guys are working in the States!
Your idea is interesting, in Odoo project, all I can see is tasks and cost of them, I could obviously create a task "sales" with sub tasks for all products, and same for cost, I could also enter cost of sales, salaries ... and (I have not yet tried) I hope that the report will give me a simplified result account. What I do not understand is how to simulate easily various scenarios (by usons a coefficient, or changing sales price...). Is there a module that has been developed for that?
I also have to include financial costs (loans,..) and work out the cash plan... this requires to make calculation on the inputs ans I do not know how to do it in Project.
