Hello everybody, I have a doubth in the sales process here it is:
What will do Odoo in case It have a product with a BoM (Bill of Materials), where the components can be buyed and can be manufactured? I mean, how will Odoo decide if the subcomponents have to be buyed or manufactured? It can be specified by subproduct? Can anyone help me?
Odoo is the world's easiest all-in-one management software.
It includes hundreds of business apps:
- CRM
- e-Commerce
- Accounting
- Inventory
- PoS
- Project management
- MRP

It should depend upon the Routes for the component product (or its Product Category)
Yes, that's fine, but odoo allows me to select both routes, and it can be a case where a product is usually fabricated, but in some cases (usually because the need of a quick delivery) it needs to be buyed. If Odoo only allows one of the routes, that's fine, but why it allows to select both?
OK, I missed that part of your question.
I don't think there is any standard way to handle this. You are right that it doesn't make sense to select both "Buy" and Manufacture" because there is no logic in Odoo to determine which one to use (but "Buy" and "Make to Order" is a valid combination).
For your case, I think you would have to cancel the draft manufacturing order and create a Purchase Order.
