Rakumba Lighting

Rakumba partnered with Thoughtlogik to modernise and optimise their digital infrastructure by migrating from Odoo 13 to Odoo 18. The goal was not only to move to the latest version but also to take full advantage of Odoo’s improved user experience, expanded features, and performance enhancements. 

As part of the migration project, Thoughtlogik delivered a series of strategic upgrades and enhancements, including: 

  • A newly implemented Shop Floor module with custom workflows tailored to Rakumba’s manufacturing operations 

  • Interactive dashboards for real-time operational and management reporting 

  • A revamped Odoo Website setup 

  • Process improvements across manufacturing, inventory, sales, and customer engagement workflows 

This wasn’t just a version upgrade it was a full business transformation on the latest Odoo platform.

  • Odoo 13 had reached end-of-support, creating risk for security, stability, and long-term scalability. 

  • Third-party app dependency for managing work orders limited integration, visibility, and user experience. 

  • Significant framework changes (Python and JavaScript) between Odoo 13 and 18 made previous custom code incompatible and obsolete. 

  • Limited reporting capabilities, with no real-time dashboards for production and sales teams. 

  • Manual production tracking, resulting in inefficiencies on the shop floor. 

  • Outdated website interface, not aligned with Rakumba’s high-end design aesthetic.
