Cell Phones For Soldiers is a national non-profit organization dedicated to providing cost-free communication services and emergency funding to active-duty military members and veterans. Since 2004, the charity has provided more than 400 million minutes of air time to servicemen and women deployed around the world, by recycling more than 25 million cell phones reducing the impact on landfills.
What We Do
Cell Phones For Soldiers uses proceeds from donated cell phones to purchase international calling cards for troops to call home and to provide emergency funding to veterans.
We are AFNET, the wireless service that offers high speed data, unlimited talk and text, plus a free android smartphone or iphone at no cost to qualifying customers. Know more about the ACP program.
WHAT IS ACP PROGRAM ?
The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is the latest government benefits program operated by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to grant low-income Americans discounts on monthly broadband services and connected internet devices. The ACP was launched on December 31, 2021, and replaces the Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) program. Subscribers enrolled in the EBB as of December 31, 2021 may keep their EBB benefit for 60 days and must transition to the ACP benefit on March 1, 2022, if eligible.
