Michael Ptas
Associate Project Manager at Braintech

My professional journey has consistently intersected with IT and the service industry, beginning in event management with a focus on timekeeping for sporting events. I subsequently transitioned to the hospitality sector, where I held executive responsibilities overseeing all hotels in Austria, specifically in the domains of IT, sustainability, and property management.

For the past year, I have been engaged as a Project Manager and Consultant at Braintec, where I provide guidance to a diverse clientele on Odoo implementation. My role encompasses a wide range of the project lifecycle, from conducting in-depth customer workshops to analyze requirements to facilitating a seamless transition to our Customer Care team, which ensures ongoing support after the Go-Live of our projects.

My academic background includes a degree in Innovation and Management with a specialization in Hospitality, as well as advanced studies in Business Consulting and Corporate Management.

Konrad Kühne
Chief Technology Officer at Yobst

I hold a bachelor's degree in computer science with a focus on entrepreneurship and information systems engineering, alongside studies in chemistry and economics. After graduation, I worked as a freelance developer before founding a small IT consultancy. My company secured contracts with startups, large corporations, and government agencies, providing full-stack development, IT operations, and project management services.

As an open-source developer, I’ve contributed to projects like Datahike. In 2023, I transitioned from CEO of my consultancy to CTO at Yobst, a company focused on supporting regional food production through software solutions. In this talk we will be discussing the company’s first project, with more on the horizon.

This session will cover the implementation of a self-service shop within Odoo v16. The client company acts as a marketplace, i.e. it is never the economic owner of the goods it sells. This poses a number of accounting and inventory challenges, which is why the BT-Arba (automated rule based accounting) is used in the project.

Additional improvements to the POS system, including visual and functional enhancements, semi-automated accounting features, and more, will be discussed.
