Beyond the Borders of Higher Education
Andy Scott, Professor Phil Taylor & Karl Melki UK Business Development  at Intalio LTD

Andy has over 30 years’ experience in the software services industry, and project managed Odoo implementations across the UK, continental Europe, Australia and Namibia. He joined the Intalio team in April this year to launch the company’s operations in the UK, focusing on Odoo.

From early success with a manufacturing and distribution company in the north east of England,  and some diverse and exciting projects to be announced in the coming weeks, Andy is building the local team with significant help from head office.

Andy is joined by Professor Phil Taylor of Strathclyde University, Vice Dean and Academic Director of one of the leading Business Schools in the UK.

Karl Melki is a multilingual consultant experienced in ERP & ECM technology and has been at the forefront of business development initiatives in Europe and the Middle East for the past 5 years with Ever Business Solutions / Intalio. He has been managing the projects within the Financial, Retail, Healthcare, Education, Logistics, Manufacturing, and FMCG industries to help them achieve the digital transformation of their processes through Odoo.

The provision and management of Higher Education has changed significantly over recent decades, and this has been accelerated by the challenges of the Covid Pandemic.  This has led to an increasing demand for cost-efficiency, improved communication, and joined up thinking across many aspects of academic life.  Several Universities and colleges have asked Intalio and Odoo to help them automate some and all of their processes, including Finance, Student Registration, e-Learning, Student and Staff Relationship Management, through to managing their estate.

We bring you the top 8 challenges facing Higher Education, based on what our clients tell us, and UK based research.

Professor Taylor will explain how the sector is facing up to the increasing demands of transnational education from the perspectives of the institution and the student.  This brings the research to life with some from international experience in academia.

Karl, by leveraging his personal online academic experience originating from his pursuit of management degrees at the US and Europe's top tier universities, will be demonstrating how Odoo addresses the key requirements of educational institutions.

Then the session is opened to questions and answers in the session chat.  We look forward to you joining us.
