Prerequisites

Participants should possess an intermediate understanding of Supply Chain Management and Manufacturing from a business perspective, along with familiarity with the Odoo Inventory and Manufacturing applications. An introductory session will be conducted at the start of the class to ensure all attendees are on the same page regarding these odoo applications.

During 2 days will discover:

  • Inventory configurations to meet manufacturing needs
  • Designing warehouse networks and internal locations within physical warehouses
  • Structuring shop floors (e.g., work centers, operations, Bill of Materials)
  • Managing stock operations effectively (e.g., inbound, internal, outbound, picking)
  • Creating and scheduling Manufacturing Orders
  • Exploring different replenishment methods (e.g., manual procurement, make-to-order, subcontracting)
  • Understanding reservation methods and how they relate to components and finished goods
  • Understanding procurement methods and the available options inside odoo (reordering rules, master production schedule, manual procurement)
  • Ensuring traceability of stock items (e.g., unit of measures, lots, serial numbers)
  • Configuring custom routes and put-away strategies for specific supply chain needs
  • Performing inventory adjustments and maintaining stock accuracy
  • Exploring inventory valuation and costing methods
  • Implementing a barcode environment for efficient operations
  • Optimizing lead times and utilizing them effectively
  • Choosing the right picking methods to enhance efficiency
