Hi All

I am new to Odoo. I will be using the inventory module and eventually the P.O module.

It's being advertised as free, wht is really free in the inventory module and is it bug free?

Odoo has this 1-app free license. If you're planning to use only the inventory app, this would qualify. However, by the time you add the purchase app, then you'll need to purchase a license.

Hi,
The system is widely used by many peoples, the community edition is free and the enterprise edition is paid one.

See:  https://www.odoo.com/page/editions

Thanks

The following four Apps are included:

Once you install additional Apps (you will see a warning) you will switch to the paid plan.

If you ignore the warning and install an additional App, there is no way to switch back to the free plan unless you contact Odoo Support via odoo.com/help

There is no limit to the number of free databases you can create, and for each one you create there are different combinations of Apps installed with each free one.

If you install Purchase, you get these Apps:

Hey there, jumping into odos world can definitely stir smoe questions. The inventory module being "free" is kinda like, well, you get the basics without extra cost, but there are limits. You'll end up with basic inventory features in the community Edition, but real premium stuff's in the enterprise plan, and even then, don't expect perfection.

Real talk, seamless ain’t automatic. You'll run into bugs, especially in free versions. If your operations aren’t super simple, brace yourself, you're gonna need to put in work.

From what ive seen, clever solutions make a difference. I dealt with similar issues by introducing mobile warehouse automation with Cleverence. It helped reduce data chaos, improve real-time accuracy, and speed up workflow. The cool thing was how it plugged into Odoo and allowed low-code customization.

In this hands-on, messy world, sometimes the free options don't cut it. So yeah, consider what you need and what suits your goals.
