I want to modify the Sales Order Confirmation E-Mail, but instead of sending the default e-mail I would like to send a copy of the default e-mail.  Is it possible to change which e-mail is sent for sales order confirmations?

I know how to modify the email template (engage developer mode then go to Settings --> Technical --> Email Templates --> Sales Order Confirmation email)

What I want to do is change to an entirely different e-mail if possible, but I don't know where to do that.

More specifically, when using Events, after registering for a paid event a sales order e-mail is received (the receipt) and in that e-mail it invites the buyer to "Get your tickets" for the event.  I want to delete that "ticket" link since our events do not use actual tickets.

Hi Doug: Go to Events > Configuration > Event Templates. There is a tab called Communication which has a list of all the email templates used for various communications related to the event.​

Thanks for reply.  I don't have Server Actions under my Automation settings.

I found server actions at Technical --> Actions --> Server Actions.

Well, I found the Server Actions under the Technical --> Actions area, but I still don't see where or how to adjust the actual action after a sales order. There is no Send So Confirmation or similar option that I can see.

Paresh -- There are two e-mails that are sent with a paid event registration:

1. Sales Order Notification (receipt)
2. Event registration notification

Event --> Configuration --> Event Templates --> Communication Tab controls the event notifications. I know how to do those (even though the e-mail templates are overly complex and difficult to modify!).

What I'm asking about is the sales order notification/receipt e-mail that comes in first. For paid registrations it comes in with a line at the very top of the e-mail body. That line has a "View Sales Order" button followed by a link that reads "Get your tickets" followed by the Sales Order number and the name of the person who placed the order.

I want to remove that line. In our application we are using event registration without tickets. We have no need to scan people into our events so when someone pays to attend one of our events, if they receive an e-mail telling them to "get a ticket" it will confuse them as they are not accustomed to needing tickets. I need to modify that e-mail so that the sales order notification does not dynamically insert a ticket link into the e-mail for event purchases.

Yes, you can modify which email is sent for Sales Order confirmations
1. Go to SettingsTechnicalAutomationServer Actions

Search for the server action responsible for sending the "Sales Order Confirmation Email." Typically, it is named something like "Send SO Confirmation"
