Hello everyone, brand new here. I have searched this but cant find an answer. Let's say a new customer emails me, how can I have that email show up in odoo. I understand it will show up if they are replying to me from an email I sent from odoo, but I'm talking about a new customer. I have set my incoming and outgoing email settings. Basically I just want any email sent to me from out side of odoo to show up in odoo. Thanks to everyone

Thanks, but like I said in my post” I have already set up my in and out going email settings. That isn’t the problem. Here is the problem. If I send you and email from with in Odoo and then you reply to that email, everything works fine. My problem is if someone Emails me from out of the blue it won’t show up in Odoo. Every potential customer out in the real world doesn’t use Odoo.

You need to use one of the Mail Plugins.

Odoo has no way of knowing about other emails you receive unless you tell it by using this feature to push the email into Odoo.

You will be able to create Contacts, Opportunities, Tasks and Tickets and push the email you receive to the newly created record. If you receive an email related to a Contact, Opportunity, Task or Ticket already in Odoo, you will be able to push the email to the existing record.
