I would like to make an automated action so that when the shipping quantity is marked done, an automated email is sent to the customer and followers of the SO telling them the Sales Order number, customer reference number, shipping date, and tracking number. I could not find any support online or in the community. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Nate:
This is already provided out of the box. Go to Inventory > Configuration > Settings and enable Email Confirmation in the Shipping section of the settings page. Once you enable it, a dropdown field will open up with the default email template which you can customize to meet your needs.
